About Tyler Home Inspector

I have over 20 years of experience in home construction, remodeling, inspection and handyman work all in the East Texas area.  I pursued my formal training in home inspection from Texas A&M-Commerce (over 450 hours) and am licensed with the Texas Real Estate Commission, license #9199.  A TREC-licensed home inspector means that I must adhere to certain minimum standards of practice.  However, it is my goal to exceed these minimum standards that TREC has established for home inspectors.
(TREC Standards)

Besides having a Bachelor's Degree from Stephen F. Austin State University, I am currently a firefighter with the Dallas Fire Department for the last 27 years.  As a fireman, I can't help but to examine homes for fire safety (ask my wife).

I have been married to Michelle for 28 years and we have 3 children.  I also teach a Bible study class for young single adults at Southside Baptist Church.  When I am not working, I enjoy spending time with family, traveling and puttering about.

I am a member in "fairly decent" standing of the following organizations:

International Association of Certified Home Inspectors (InterNACHI)
Independent Home Inspectors of North America (IHINA)
Greater Tyler Association of Realtors
International Code Council
Texas Professional Real Estate Inspectors Association
